  • 30 MIN PRIOR – WRAP UP THE DAY
  • Screens off, reduce blue light in the home
  • No sugar, limit liquids
  • Last surge of physical play like a dance party
  • 15 MIN PRIOR – PLUG INTO ROUTINE
  • Prep for tomorrow, set out clothes and bags, set alarm clock
  • Calm the body down with quiet activities like reading, journaling, or meditation
  • Baths, brushing teeth, combing hair, putting on PJs
  • 5 MIN PRIOR – CULTIVATE COMFORT
  • Make up the bed, locate comfort objects/blankets
  • Set thermostat, close doors, windows, and curtains
  • Read a book, sing a song, or tell a story
  • BEDTIME – CONNECT
  • Have a cuddle, hugs, or kisses
  • Talk about the day, look ahead at tomorrow’s schedule
  • Turn on nightlight, sound machine, music, etc.
  • Lights out!
