Spring Deep Clean: Kids’ Checklist

  • LIVING ROOM
  • Clean out under the couch and cushions
  • Dust and wipe down chair and table legs
  • Wipe vents and grates
  • Clean bookshelves
  • Dust ceiling fan blades (with a sock over their hand)
  • Freshen up pillows and blankets
  • ENTRYWAY / MUDROOM
  • Wash door handles and light switches
  • Organize and wipe out the shoe rack or mudroom area
  • KITCHEN
  • Organize and wipe out kitchen drawers
  • Polish cabinet handles
  • Wipe down the refrigerator exterior
  • Wash trash cans
  • BATHROOMS
  • Scrub shower walls
  • Polish cabinet handles
  • Tile grout with a toothbrush
  • Load bath toys into dishwasher
  • BEDROOM
  • Wipe down baseboards
  • Dust and wipe down chair legs, bed frames
  • Sort and wipe the toy bins
  • Freshen up pillows and blankets
  • PLAYROOM (OR HOMEWORK/STUDY AREAS)
  • Sort and wipe the toy bins
  • Clean bookshelves
  • Disinfect remote controls and game controllers
  • ALL OVER
  • Wipe down windowsills, walls, light switches, and door handles
  • Deep clean pet bowls and mats
  • Scrub outdoor toys, patio furniture
